Countertop Edge Profile Options
Countertops are the most used items in your new kitchen, so choosing the right countertop material is very important. You use them for everything, from preparing and serving, to entertaining guests. Kitchen countertop edge profiles play into the overall functionality of doing all of these things while making an artistic statement in the kitchen design. We offer nine different types of edge profiles for your Designer Stone countertops. Learn more about each countertop edge profile.
Beveled Edge
This traditional style offers a more geometric look of two 45-degree angle bends to complete the angled shape. This standard edge style is used in many new stone countertops.
Chiseled Edge*
One of the most modern edges, a chiseled edge makes your granite or quartz countertop look as if it is in its natural state. This style provides a unique look from the common rounded edge.
Crescent Edge
This subtle half-moon curvature with a flat top and bottom edge is modest but quite striking. It’s a very popular choice for those in the market for a new countertop.
Demi Bull Edge
Unlike the full bull, the curvature stops halfway with a straight edge bottom side, keeping the topside style the same but directing liquid spills to the floor instead of on the cabinetry with the waterfall edge.
Double Eased Edge
This design keeps the square edge design but slightly rounds it on the top and bottom edges, giving it a more modern feel. It’s a popular type of countertop edge in many traditional kitchens and countertop applications.
Full Bull Edge
This popular style rounds both top and bottom edges and creates a very soft edge profile.
Half-Bull Edge
Similar to the demi-bull edge profile, the half-bull edge is only slightly rounded on the top edge and flat on the top, providing a classic look.
Ogee Edge*
This style is known for its s-shaped fabrication and dramatic flair that draws attention to the countertop, making it a very popular choice.
Quarter Roundover Edge
Very similar to the double eased edge, this style is more rounded on the top and bottom edges, giving it a softer feel.
